When we decided to relocate to Kittitas Valley, we immediately contacted a real estate agent and began looking for a home. The real estate agent showed us a number of homes in the area and we quickly decided that newer construction homes were our best bet. Several builders had new homes on the market, however, we chose to go with Pillar because the quality of construction and flexibility in working with us on various upgrades to new home buyers. Perhaps the item we found most advantageous in working with Pillar was the follow up to our concerns with the new home after we moved in. Generally, many developers are looking to move on to their next project, but Pillar on the other hand, took the time to address our concerns in a systematic manner. This, in our opinion, sets Pillar apart from other new home developers. We heartily recommend Pillar Development for their professionalism, follow through, and commitment to a quality product.

We recently completed building a house for our daughter at Sun Ridge Estates in Ellensburg. I cannot imagine finding a building contractor who is more professional, competent, and “attention to detail” oriented than Chad Youngquist and his crew at Pillar Development. This group truly goes the extra mile, and Dale Carnegie would be proud.

From our first meeting with Craig at RE/MAX Community Realty and throughout the entire construction process, until the day we received our keys with the smell of freshly baked cookies, we were impressed with the professional and “can do” attitudes of the entire team. Kevin, our project superintendent, was wonderful to work with…he was highly responsive to all of our questions and concerns, he maintained an exceptional quality control with all his subcontractors, and he kept our project perfectly “on time” – something that is extremely unusual among building contractors. Chad also made himself available to us on a regular basis to make sure we were happy with the process, and he handled our change orders in a quick, efficient manner. After moving into the house, Blaine even came over several times after hours to help, when we called with appliance and maintenance questions.

We have worked with many building contractors over the years, and we certainly found Chad, Kevin, and Blaine to be of the very highest caliber in the industry, with their impeccable quality and service, strong and moral characters, and tenacious work ethics. In addition, we continue to be impressed with Pillar's excellent follow-through and long-term commitment to their clients. Most recently, over a year since the closing of our daughter's house, they responded the same day to our messages inquiring about some maintenance issues on the home.

We have been so impressed with Pillar that we are considering doing another home with them in the near future for investment purposes in the thriving Ellensburg community. Everyone involved with Pillar is a real “class act,” and we would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to work with “nice guys” who deliver both quality and an ususually high level of service.

Dear Kevin,

As you know, we purchased four homes from Pillar Development on 3/31/06. Three for investment purposes and one for our daughter. We made minor changes in the floor plan (moved a window and sliding door, added a half wall to the dining area, and added an exterior door in the garage area) on one of the homes. These changes were negotiated with the builder with ease. All four homes were completed on the date agreed upon. At the walk through upon completion, the homes were very clean with minor paint touch-ups to be addressed. The paint touch-ups were addressed in a very timely manner. You, Mr. Hansen, are very knowledgeable with the functions and construction of the homes and took time to explain the various operations of the dwelling when the walk through was completed. The finish quality appears to be above average for this price range of homes. We are coming up on the one-year walkthrough inspections of the dwellings and it is anticipated that any minor defects will be repaired in the same timely manner as was the construction of the dwellings.
